Born and brought up in the city of Nagpur in Maharashtra, Dr. Sonali Soni is an MBBS - gold medalist and MD in Radiology. Her late mother always wanted her daughter to be a successful doctor working for the betterment of women in society. She is independently running a diagnostic venture by the name Navya Diagnostic Center at GT road Amritsar from the last 15 years. She was a meritorious student throughout her academic career and stood first among girls in SSC and HSSC boards. She is an accredited Radiologist in fetal medicine and female fertility diagnosis and treatment. Born and brought up in Nagpur, she is currently living in the holy city of Amritsar.
Dr. Sonali is actively engaged in the diagnosis, teaching, and learning about fetal medicine and maternal radiology. Her specialization focuses on non surgical Fallopian tube recanalization which had proven a boon to many infertile women. She is a pioneer in leading this procedure in North India. This procedure is suitable for infertile women with blocked Fallopian tubes. She has successfully accomplished 2500 procedures so far. It is a moment of immense pleasure and pride when she gets to know that an infertile female conceives after this procedure.
She is also a saree lover and had actively taken up for the promotion of Indian weaves. She has a special corner for Indian ethnicity in her heart and she promotes the use of traditional outfits. She organized saree meets in the golden city of Amritsar for the last 2 years and she is an ardent supporter of handloom weavers.
Through these saree meets, she was engaged in an effort to inculcate the saree love back in today’s modern era where saree is taking a backseat. She believes, the ethnic beauty of the saree is exceptional and no other fashion trend can compete with it.
She embraces her Indianness through her culture as well as her fondness for traditional fashion. Dr. Sonali is a radiologist and has been a corona warrior and corona survivor.
She is also a yoga practitioner and a yoga teacher for over the last 10 years. She had been the head of IRIA SHAKTI and Raksha Campaigns under IRIA and done a lot of donation drives of sanitary kits for underprivileged Pubertal girls, for the last 3 years. She is also actively involved in menstrual hygiene awareness and she conducted lectures and workshops for the same. Regarding radiology, She has numerous publications in national and international publications. She has been a regular faculty who delivers lectures on various topics at national and regional CMEs and conferences. She believes that financial empowerment is a major criterion of woman empowerment which we all should strive for.
