All of us face challenges but how many of us don't give up? Those who don’t give up easily become an inspiration for all of us. Dr Amita Abrol is one of the inspiring woman from India who not only fought all the odds and emerged as a winner but also made this world a better place in her own way.
She spent the majority of her childhood in Nasik, Maharashtra. Her father served in the Indian Air Force till 2016. She learned the importance of a disciplined life from her father and wants to inculcate the same values in her two kids. She discovered her love for Ayurveda ever since she was a little girl and is now healing the world with one patient at a time policy.
Dr Amita did her MS from Bheem Rao Ambedkar University and is a Gold Medalist. She is married to Dr Chander Shekhar Abrol, who is well known in Jammu, Kashmir and Punjab. Her life took a drastic turn on 25th November 2018 when her husband suffered a brain haemorrhage while operating on a patient. He lost his memory and was declared bedridden for life. With her husband being unfit to practice medicine, she had no option but to shut down their hospital in Jammu and clinics in several other cities.
Dr Amita found herself at crossroads with her two little kids who needed their mother, an unwell husband who was dependent on her and her own Ayurveda practice that was getting affected. These challenging times could not break her spirit. Her dedication towards her husband and unwavering faith in the almighty shocked the whole world.
Within a month by the efforts of Dr Amita, Dr Chander Shekhar Abrol started walking, proving that a woman’s faith can achieve miracles. It was during this time that she discovered her strength with Ayurveda. She read and learned the ancient Ayurveda practices and utilized them to treat cases of IUI and IVF failures. She is one of the rare practitioners who can perform a complicated and rare therapy- Uttar Basti for gynaecological problems and infertility in both men and women.
Dr Amita Abrol has been running the famous Dr Abrol Panchkarma and Research Center for the last ten years. She is an expert in pulse diagnosis
(Nadi Parikshan) and Prakriti-vikriti analysis. She has helped thousands of patients by restoring the balance of their bio-energies through, Sneha Vasti–Oil enema therapy, Nasya–Nasal therapy, Kashaya Vasti, Herbal enema therapy, Sarvanga Dhara, Uttara Vast,Shirovasti, Karna Poorana, Netra Vasti, Udvartana, Kavala-Gandusha, and several other therapies.
Besides treating diseases, she also practices preventive and curative Ayurveda along with the multidimensional values of yoga. She also teaches Ayurveda to doctors and technicians in her Medical Education program and treats patients for free every Thursday as a part of the Panchkarma practice.
She is an expert in Swarnprashan (ayurvedic immunization to kids) that protects them from life-threatening diseases. Her knowledge and expertise saved hundreds of lives during the outbreak of the pandemic. She treated 100+ cases of COVID with Nasyam and Shaman medicine. This is not all; all her COVID patients were cured in 7-10 days which is another proof of her in-depth expertise. Dr Abrol is a living example of resilience, talent and hard work. We salute her undying spirit and her philanthropic soul.
