Designer Arpita Mehta charted her journey in the world of fashion in 2009, and has since become a new-age force to be reckoned with.The label’s minimalist yet fashion-forward fare brings about a seamless blend of ethnic and contemporary designs that enhances the feminine silhouette. Arpita Mehta’s name has consequently become synonymous with her signature aesthetic of hand-embroidered mirror work ensembles in trendy cuts and eclectic colour palettes.

 

The enterprising designer developed her interest in fashion very early on in life, adorning distinctive styles worn by her mother and grandmother. In order to pursue her passion, she went on to achieve her degree in Apparel Manufacture and Dress Design from the prestigious SNDT University, Mumbai. With perseverance and knack for detailing, she debuted at the Lakmé India Fashion Week Winter/Festive ’13, showcasing her very first collection, ‘Violet Garden’ that featured unique digital prints embellished with intricate mirror work detailing.

Today, Arpita’s illustrious clientele include industrialists, fashion industry stalwarts and celebrities like Deepika Padukone, Katrina Kaif, Sonam Kapoor, Sonakshi Sinha, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Alia Bhatt, to name a few. Having successfully established her footprint in India and the international markets, her ensembles are currently available in Aza in Mumbai and Delhi, Ensemble in Mumbai and Delhi, OGAAN Delhi and Hyderabad, Vesimi in Dubai and Elahi in hyderabad. The brand also retails out of online portal such as Aza online, Ogaan online and Nykaa Design studio.
