Vaish history of 75 glorious years dates back to World War II. In early 1940s, American and British army officers gathered in Delhi to fight against the Japanese army at Burma war front. Palika Bazar of Connaught Place was once a huge army barrack where these military personnel were posted. Coming from aristocratic backgrounds, these men were used to rich lifestyle, fancy parties, and were wearers of well-tailored suits, befitting their social conduct. Catering them became the cornerstone to initiate Vaish at Rivoli.

1940S:MR. O P VAISH BEGINS HIS SARTORIAL JOURNEY SERVING THE ARISTOCRATS OF 1940S AT CONNAUGHT PLACE DURING WORLD WAR II.
The British officers being used to European standards and excellence had great demands of suits. Mr. O.P. Vaish converted this opportunity into a learning experience and ventured deep into the world of bespoke tailoring to meet their high-class requests. Post war, he took a ship to London and lodged at Savile Row to better his art of custom tailoring by leaning from best of the bests.1950S
RETURNING TO INDIA TO DRESS MAHARAJAS & NAWABS
Mr. Vaish, now having expertise in bespoke tailoring, came back to free India to expand his work and meet abundant demands of Indian Royal families & new bureaucrats. With the increased new interest in western luxury and fashion style, Vaish became the chosen master maker. Vaish’s work was hugely appreciated and asked for by the likes of Nawab of Rampur and Maharaja of Patiala.
1960S – 1980S
MR. ASHOK VAISH JOINS, DRESSING TOP BUSINESS FAMILIES: Retaining the credibility of old clientele, Vaish was now able to attract new customers which were members of the top business families in India. With businesses splurging across the nation, this era settled the well- Tailored Suit as a norm throughout the country. The crème of the newer Indian society became regulars of Vaish.
1990S:MR. SACHIN VAISH BECOMES A PART OF THE LEGACY…
